With training camp underway, NFL teams are gearing up for the upcoming season. The offenses of the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions are looking strong, thanks in part to a reliable pair of guards.
Chris Lindstrom of the Atlanta Falcons had a standout season, making waves in the NFL guard position. Lindstrom helped lead the Falcons’ offense to an impressive 324.1 yards per game, with 127 of those coming on the ground. His performance last season earned him recognition as one of the best guards in the league, grading out first among his peers according to PFF.com.
“Chris Lindstrom has been a key player for us, and his contributions on the field have not gone unnoticed,” said Falcons head coach.
As teams gear up for the season, the importance of having a strong guard duo cannot be understated. The Dallas Cowboys boast a standout duo in Zack Martin and Tyler Smith, who many believe to be the best in the league. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions have a formidable pair in Graham Glasgow and Kevin Zeitler.
“Having two reliable guards is essential for a successful season,” said a Cowboys executive. “Zack Martin and Tyler Smith bring a level of consistency and talent that is unmatched.”
Zack Martin, a mainstay on the Cowboys’ offensive line since 2014, continues to impress. Despite rumors of retirement, Martin remains committed to the game and is still considered one of the top interior offensive linemen in the league.
“Zack Martin’s dedication to the game is unparalleled,” said a Cowboys coach. “He may be getting older, but he continues to perform at an elite level.”
With five consecutive All-Pro first-team selections under his belt, Martin’s durability and skill have solidified his place as a leader on the field. While some may see signs of decline, many in the league still view him as the standard for his position.
“It’s hard to find a better guard than Zack Martin,” said an NFL scout. “His consistency and talent set him apart from the rest.”
